Clare's Stampin Chic Piercing Technique & Saturday Sketch Challenge

Whoops! I did it again. I thought that i could finish my card and upload it after I got back from work. I nearly finished my card, and went to post on Stampin Chic to notice i was late again! boohoo! Never mind, the card still qualifies for Clare's Saturday Sketch Challenge. I have pierced the large piece of paper, as you can see from the picture below.

Shiela blew my socks off at Stampin Chic blog when she created 'Mixie', so i had to create Mixie in pink. The image was sitting at my desk, then it suddenly came to me and i was flooded with inspiration and created this card.

I really have begun to enjoy card making again and I hope you like my card.

I used Clare's Signature Range Big 200 Papers, A6 Blank Card, Stampin Chic Party Stamp Set, Black Card, Paper Flowers, Brads, 3d tape, blue ribbon, adhesive gem stones, waterbrush markers.

Winning Card

I am very proud of this card, as for the first time i won one of Clare's Sketch Challenges. I was very happy and truly did not expect to win. The competition sometimes on these challenges can be really tough.
_
I used mini glitz it sparkles on the centre of the flowers of the forever friends stamped image, doodled the edges with a black fine pen, using the floral clear stamp i stamped this up with the watermark pad and embossed with clear powder on cordinations cardstock to create my own background. Used FF With Love papers. Matted each layer onto black card. Instead of the two circles which was on the layout, thought i would use adhesive stones instead.

Details of Supplies:
Forever Friends Bunch of Daisies Stamp, Adhesive Stones, Floral Clear Stamps, Forever Friends With love papers, Mini glitz it glue, dual tip brush markers caddy, koi water brush. black pen, purple organza ribbon. black card. super assortment roy giv card. square card blank.

Help...

Most of my craft stash is docrafts products, but as of late i am seeing a lot of georgous work by others using wonderful stamps like princess anya, tilda stamps, penny black stamps. I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy the stamps from and cheapest place to have them. What are the best papers out there and where can i look at them. Any recommendations would be greatly received and appreciated as it would be based on experience.

What do people like and dislike for other brands out there.

Feel free to leave a comment on my blog.

Stampin Chic's Colour Challenge

Edit: got up this morning to post on Clare's blog that i uploaded my card and discovered that the challenges changes every Friday, whoops! Never mind!

I must apologise to those all, i have been so busy i have been unable to leave feedback for my fellow crafters.

This card I have created for the Colour Challenge on Clare's Stampin Chic Blog. I love this challenge, limiting to you a three colours, but you are not restricted in your composition. Maybe next time I will try and combine both the colour and the sketch layout! This card virtually took me all week to make, in bits. I did a bit here there and a little bit there.

I spent four hours one night this week, with Clares Big one papers, trying to decide which paper to use for the background, i got so tired in the end but I still hadnt made a final decision on which paper to use for the background. I took pictures of all the ones i liked with the toppers i created and uploaded them onto my pc. As i was lying in bed, ideas were popping into my head and it came to use plain card and make my own background. I used the watermark ink pad for this and clear embossing powder.

For this card, I have used Clare's Doodle Stamp Set from the Signature Range, cordinations cardstock, brads, Adhesive gems, black card stock, small tall blank cards, blue pigment ink and black pigment ink, watermark ink pad. Clear embossing powder, brads.

Crafting Heaven

I think i have found this place, if it exists.LOL.

I am been looking at the docraft site, and there are 5 fab new projects from Jenny Pearce, they are so inspiring. Projects from Clare are also there from the week before. I will be recreating those, and maybe in different colours! Then there is a lot of cards i want to make that i have sketched down, then there is more inspiration on Clare Curds Stamping Chic Blog. I loved so many projects in the recent docrafts magazine - that i wanted to create. There is inspiration everywhere, I dont know where to go or where to start! I am seriously lost! I want to create a lot of cards and all of them now! And the list gets longer. Help?!?!

I am a bit silly though, the ideal Craft Heaven I suppose would be surrounded by lots and lots of crafting goodies and they were all FREE!

Crafting Wish List

I do not know if I am alone in this, but as a crafter I always wish if I had this product or wish I could buy that one. However after spending £100 on crafting stuff from the new launch and other products, can not really justify spending anymore money. But here is my crafting wish list:
1) Tilda Stamps
2) Penny Black Stamps
3) Greeting Farm Stamp - that princess anya stamp is beautiful

I would love to have stamps from any of these brands, but can not afford so.

A couple of people asked me how my craft stall went in Feb. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the stall as my car broke down on the way, and in one way i was greatful as on the radio I heard of fatal accidents on the route I was going to take to get to Stratford. This was at the time of all the constant snow.

However by the time i was assisted on road side and my car was fixed, by the time I would have arrived there, it would have nearly been over. So there was no point in going. I was disappointed as I was going to raise funds for Cancer Research. However I am sure there will be other craft fayres coming soon, which I will look forward to and other opportunities to raise funds!

Clare Curds Signature Range Launch

Last night was the launch of Clare's Signature Range, it looked like great fun and Clare had amazing music and fun on her Stampin Chick Blog. I was unwell, and saw a bit of it from my bed and caught up on the posts today.

Yesterday I thought that if i go out for a walk i might get some fresh air and that may help relieve the pain. But after 2 minutes inside tesco, i was crying and just stood in the middle of the shop saying i want to go home like a 2 year old! Trouble was we were not near home and had other stuff to do. Feeling tonnes better today. But not looking forward going to work. :(
