2nd Card for Clare's Challenge

The above card has been inspired by the works of Tina and Olga. I have created a second card for this weeks Sketch Challenge. I have used Clare's Doodle Stamp Set, brown card, pink card, Chalk Cat eyes, Adhesive Gems, Glitter Glue, Everyday Ribbon, Circle punch to create the circles under neath the centre panel. I also used the georgous corner stamp set that i previously won in another challenge. I used Watermark ink pad and clear embossing powder.

Today it feels like a light bulb clicked in my head, and i have lots of ideas which i am sketching down. Still not feeling too good. But couldnt stay in bed any longer.

My Entry For Clare's Sketch Challenge

I have certainly found Clare's Sketch Challenges challenging as of late! It sometimes nearly takes the whole week just to decide on what stamps i am going to use and what papers. I did think of an idea using the Marie Curie Stamp Set.

In the end I decided to use the fabulous new stamp sets from Clare Curd. They are priced at an amazing £5.99 each, each set has so many stamps to chose from. There are four sets in total, why not go for all four, I did. I have already bought mine and hopefully if my poorly car returns from the garage today, i will get the papers too! I have used two techniques with this card - faux stitching and off stamping. With the area of with love - i used a cosmetic sponge to create the background, and off stamped the with love to create my own background. I have edged the papers with ink and doodled on the edges. I couldnt find matching ribbon, so when all else fails i used white organza ribbon, edged the edges using pigment ink and the colour of the card shows through to match. Didnt have any matching adhesive pearls, so i love the white pearls, and used permanent markers to match. The rest is as shown above.

Products used:

Clare Curds Signature Range - Stamping for him set, Clare Curds Signature Range Doodle Stamp Set, White a6 blank card, brown chalk cat eye, waterbrush markers, foam pads, adhesive pearls, white organza ribbon, x cut pokey tool.

I am still a poorly girl, had to leave work yesterday and i felt extremely bad. However with my body aching all over, and the painkillers not doing anything, i couldnt stay till the end of my shift.

I am back off to bed, I might be around to see a bit of this Clare's party launch tonight at 6.30pm if i feel better. Hopefully catch up with you all later x

Thank you

Last post of today, promise!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Clare Curd who inspires me everyday in so many ways with my crafting and who encouraged me to go start a blog. Thank you for the push! I needed it and I really appreciate it.

I am really addicted to it, already. I could continue going on forever but am afraid people might fall asleep at their pc's!

Also wanted to thank Ruth Hamiltion for her help and support. She really truly helped me with my creation here, she pointed me in the right direction. Otherwise, i think i might have been lost and confused for a very long time. But now that I have worked it out, its really simple!

Thank you Clare and Ruth.

Best get to bed and get some rest, as I think I am coming down with something, good nite all x

New Card

I created this last week. It is inspired by Jo Kill's Green Floral card in issue 9 of Creativity (Do Crafts Magazine).
To make this card, i have used Gold mirror card, Marie Curie 2009 Stamp, Sweet Nothings Stamp Set, Gold Pigment Ink and Gold Embossing Powder.

For all of those who follow my gallery on docrafts, you will know i fully support this cause - for create a card campaign and have created many cards using this stamp set. Do check out my gallery.

Recently, as we are all are feeling the pinch of money and the prices of everything seems to be increasing. So my new years resolution was to not buy as much of the new, but to use as much of my old stuff as possible. However...

Although that didnt stop me buying all of the wonderful Clare Curd signature range stamps, and all the daisy and dandelion stamp set, Ouch! just waiting for the shops to deliver the papers! I am so excited. I have used the georgous stamps already. I bought them last week friday.

I went back to the shop two days later to discover that all of Clare's doodle stamp set and the man stamp set had sold out. I am so happy i purchased it on friday! There were not many of the greeting stamp set left. And only a few of the other stamp chic party stamp set were left. Each stamp set is priced at an amazing £5.99. I was expecting £9.99 or £7.99. I really think these stamp sets are excellent value for money as you are getting a lot of stamps with each set. I really think this is definitely worth the purchase. And Clare has created some inspiring cards as always in the latest docraft magazine using these stamp sets. Do check her range out in your shop, its fantastic x
