Cute Companions Play Days

Here is another demonstration card I made last year. This was the first time i used stamps from the cute companion range. These cute animals never appealed to me, however since using them to make the demo cards I have been tempted to buy more of their range. Although never bought these animal stamps again. I did buy the S.W.A.L.K range! (More stamps that have not yet seen ink, ssshhh! don't tell hubby!)

I do look at these cards and smile at my early attempts of combing papers with colours. And can see how I have developed further with my craft.

What I wanted to show my cards, if you are not good at combing papers - don't! Stick to one and use a layout like this. With the first card i used the left overs from the punches, with the second card i used the same layout different papers, to create a masculine card.

Thursdays Posts & Comments Missing

I had a message asking about my Adhesive Gems purchase, 10 packs for £5. They came on an email from docrafts in their online shop. I ordered 2 sets. I thought they were 10, but the are actually 11 and they are the Papermania quality, it is just does not have all the usual packaging.

WOYWW 101

We are now not long away until we are nearly at week 104. WOYWW is a massive success in it’s own right, but week 104 will be the 2nd Anniversary of WOYWW. It is addictive, having a look around everyone’s desks and getting lots of ideas. Last week I made it to everyone's desk and made comments. Pop on over to Julia's blog for the head start here

Thank you for all your comments last week, you are totally fab and do make me smile. I am not 8 foot tall and although the picture does make it look very tall. However, I can not see into the top two draws, but I can easily pull out the draw to take out what I need, when needed. As you can see I have done my first blog candy, and done it for charity. With Ebay, I have had some sell and some go unsold. It is early days. For Charity, I have listed some non craft items for sale. Do help the cause and bid.

I am now able to change the URL of my facebook page. However I am not sure what to call it to. I want something to incorporate my name or initials SS. Although I only have cards listed, I will soon be listing bookmark corners and candles to my shop. Any suggestions? If I use one of your suggestions, I am sure I can find a free stamp to give away.

On to why a lot of you are here, for a snoop around at my desk or my desk next to my desk?!?! The picture of my desk, is this desk I used to work under natural sunlight. See in the corner items on Ebay, glue, paints.

Well, a picture of what is underneath… Box of ribbons, and a lot of Wild Rose Studio paper that can not fit in any of my draws. Oh dear oh dear…. And you may notice a lot of uncrafty stuff there as well. I think it is about time I invested in another box for my ribbon I have accumulated… And what desk can you see there to craft on.... :)

Forever Friend Sunday Playtime - Week 7

Hi there, continuing with my Forever Friend Sunday theme. I have managed 7 consecutive weeks. 7!

With one of moans previously is how much we spend on crafting stuff that we get little use of. I am getting use of my Cuttlebug but perhaps not as much as I would like. So with this card, I have used a Cuttlebug embossing folder - with stitches i think it was called, Nestabilities and a cutey but oldy Forever Friend Stamp - Playtime. It has created a Clean and Simple effective layout.

Spread The Word - Tatty Teddy / Me to You WARNING Crafting PRODUCTS

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD to many as possible, post this on your blogs. Let the world know. Let's bycott Me To You Products until they agree an angel policy. 

I feel that Docrafts have missold tatty teddies, stating that there is an angel policy on the products. This implies you can sell your cards using their products. However when you visit docrafts - it states that the policy is pending.

However read this post here.Further along in the post - Becky from docrafts confirms there the angel policy is currently being discussed.

You can NOT therefore currently sell your cards using their products. Docrafts should not have sold them without agreeing the Angel Policy first and then making customers aware of it BEFORE purchase. To say I am not happy, is an understatement. I have spent a considerate amount of pennies on this range.

I will wait the outcome of the angel policy. I still luckily have my receipts, and all unused items I will return if the outcome is you can not sell your cards.

Cute Companions Demo Card

To all the messages and emails about my Aldi Bargain. I am sorry for those who have not been able to find it. I only bought mine earlier in the week. I will have a look out, if I find any I will be sure to let you know and happy to send it your way plus p&p.

Last week Friday I did promise that I would show you my remaining Penny Black samples that have not yet surfaced on my blog. However before my Penny Black demo, I did a Cute Companion Demo using two stamp sets. One of them was called Dressing Up. I used the mouse image and dressed it up using one of the dresses. I used the Pink Parfait papers from the Forever Friends range.

WOYWW 100

I was not going to miss this week of WOYWW for anything! It is WOYWW 100. If you have no idea, what I am talking about pop over to Julia Dunnit's blog here. I managed to visit you all last week and comment!there were some I could not leave a comment, a couple of blogs because I everytime i opened their page, my internet explorer crashed.

I have nothing to report on my Ebay Shop. I am still waiting for bids. However, I will try some more combinations first and see what happens.

I have a facebook page, which I have started for my cards. I need 25 fans before I can amend the URL into something easier. I only have 8 at the moment, early days. My facebook page is here

Some may remember this corner of my room, it has grown my other set of drawers, because the two green draws which was full of clear stamps, was overfilled. So i have now managed to organise my clear stamps some more by Cute and Cuddly, Penny Black, Christmas and everything else.

Forever Friend Sunday

I lost count at the amount of weeks I have been doing this. But I will carry on trying. I have really spent too much money on a lot of crafting products not just Forever Friends, which I need to get more use of and moneys worth before my other half will allow me to buy anymore crafting stuff.
