Good News

I am bursting with excitement to tell you that I have been selected to be the guest designer for an upcoming blog hop for Wild Rose Studio. Woohoo!!!

I was so excited that I could not wait until a free day in my posts to tell you, which would have been 27th September! I decided to postpone Me To You Saturday post for today until next week. So do come back next week, and there will be the usual Me To You cards. There will be a blog hop, a challenge and some prizes to be won! Keep your eyes peeled for this upcoming event.

You all know I love the Wild Rose Studio products, their designs are fab and so unique. They have some set of stamps and some individual ones. They are made of high quality material and not flimsy, and built to last.  I have no idea how I became hooked, but I am glad I did become hooked.

So stay tuned into this space....

I purchase all my Wild Rose Studio craft products from The Glitterpot, as they always have the new stamps and papers in stock.

Born to Shop A5 Decoupage Card

I have recently done a lot of thinking, the hand that has been dealt to me with the last year or so. The very highs and the very lows. And how I have developed as a person. The people who have left my life forever and gone on to a happier place, you are missed so much my dear nan and grandad, have forever left happy memory footprints in my heart. My broken foot! Hopefully onto happier times now, with Christmas and new year looming.

Here is an A5 Decoupage Card, that I made using the Born to Shop Bubbles Decoupage Kit. I have recently been very busy, crafting all hours to get a variety of goodies in my box for possible craft stalls. Wish me all the luck in the world.

Btw, thank you for all those who asked, yesterday was a lovely day with my mum. And Thank you for all your lovely wishes.

Onto the card now before you get bored and switched off...

Today is my mums Birthday, just wanted to say many happy returns of the day. I love you mum, you are a great support, inspiration in my life. You make me laugh. You are one of a kind and truly special.  I wish you wealth and good health. I hope your day is special.
(For those who have come to see a Wild Rose Studio card, business will return as normal next week. I just wanted to dedicate today to the number one person in my life, mum.)

Penny Black Monday

Hi, another week of Penny Black Monday. I hope you are not bored with all my product focus days. I may change them, as I am not sure how long I will be able to keep these days up as yesterday I lost a day of crafting, when I was feeling so unwell. As well, there are other stashs in my draw which are neglected - SWALK stamps, Fizzy Moon stamps, Papermania clear stamp sets. There are not enough days in the week! Or rotate it, when one week it is Penny Black and the other week on the same day it is another product. Then the week after back to Penny Black and so forth.

Thank you for all your sweet comments. My leg and foot feels a lot better, so hopefully I will receive good news from the doctors on my next visit.

I made this card when the official blog for all Penny Black did a focus on this gorgeous stamps set - Fun in the sun for the weeks challenge. However for what ever reason, I did not manage to finish it in time. Oh well, but not it is complete and here to show you.

Remembering 9/11, 10 Years On...

I know I am late in the day but I wanted to post to mark the 10th Anniversary of this horrific event that affected so many innocent people forever. My heart goes out to those who lost their mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, friend, family. Those who forever look across the table and will never see their loved one again. Those who have lived with this tragedy ever since this date. And those who are suffering from various illness by the dust that resulted from the twin towers collapsing.
I remember the day, and the events that unfolded and watching the event life as it happened. You are in my thoughts.

Man of the Match

This is Forever Friends Week 25, a quarter of a century folks! haha... Another milestone. I have created this card using the Forever Friends Retro Collection. I have really enjoyed this stamp, maybe a bit too much. I have combined this with the Wild Rose Studio papers.

Me To You Saturday Week 7

I have made it to Week 7, but I doubt there will be a card from me next week as due to my foot it is making life very difficult. I want my life back and be able to walk on both of my feet without any crutches. Oh well.

This is another bookmark I created using Me to you stamp - Flower Pots. I hope you like. If you would like to join me, leave a comment to your work, I will visit you and link you in this post so others visit you. All I ask, is you link me in your post.

Sorry I have not been able to get around your blogs, and also explains why the number of comments have fallen. I am having trouble with blogger and commenting, and I am getting very weird messages. Will also try to visit you, when blogger works again!

Born To Shop

I guess the Shop Til You Drop Stamp is my favourite based on the cards I have made.

Wild Rose Studio - Football Lad

Another card using this Football Lad Stamp, I hope that you are not bored!  I have more to come...

Just a quick post today from me, to show the card. Things are really manic here and I am really busy. It is so much work when I first started to maintain a blog, comments, galleries, shops, photos. Don't you think? Photos take a lot more time, edit, take, retake, tags.

I always encourage people to use up their scraps in my demos, and this uses up scraps for the background. A great use. And has been inspiredd by the talented Elizabeth Allan.

My First X Ray Experience

I thought I would share something with you, a bit comical and I had the nurses laughing when I had my first X Ray Experience.

Before I broke the bone in my foot, I never ever had an X Ray or needed an X Ray, and have never broken a bone in my life. The only thing that day I could compare it with was something in the cartoons. Where a strong light and flash occurs - how else are they going to see the bones inside of me? And why else do they do not allow anyone else in the room when an X Ray is taking place.

So I got to the X Ray table and hobbled onto the table. The two nurses helped me up as it was day one with the broken bone. They placed these mats underneath my foot and coin near me, and they were about to go back in the room. I said, sorry I have never ever had an x ray before, do I need to close my eyes or something. They both started laughing and said no. You will not even know when it has been done. And they were right. But were amused. Lol, i told my mum, who was upset that day for me who bursted out laughing and had tears streaming down her face. I said its not funny, how do i know if I never had an X ray before. lol.

I hope this has bought a smile to someones face today!

Paint The Town...

Welcome to another week of Penny Black Monday, I have to thank people for writing my posts for me it helps me.

I posted about that comment that was made on my blog. As much as I displayed the comment, it is equally fair that I tell you about the apology I also received from Sue Seyers. If you would like to read it - it is fairly long comment, explains why she made the comment and she leaves a poem, click here to read the comment. Thank you for your apology, I appreciate it and I was not really expecting any apology. but thank you.

I have not been able to read and leave comments on your blog, this is because your blogs are saved as my favourites on my pc and not laptop. Therefore it is difficult, near impossible to be at the pc with my walking boot. However, later on with some help I am hoping I will be able to transfer the favourites to the laptop, and visit your blogs later on today.

On to todays Penny Black project, I wanted to share a project I started Saturday and it is almost finished, but not in time for todays post. So I will show another card I prepared. When you get the stamps, on the back of the packet there are often projects. I normally use them as a guide to colour in the image, but this time on the back of the Penny Black - Paint the Town clear stamp set there was this cute project which I loved, so i created my version. Take a look.

If you like to join me, do leave a comment in the post, I will link you up and visit your blog, and hopefully others will join too. All I ask is you link me in your post.

Forever Friends Sunday Week 24

Wow! Week 24, 6 months of Sundays with Forever Friends cards. Oooo... Something to celebrate and partay with.

I have been doing well. In my current condition I do not know if I will be able to keep up the other days of crafts, but will not let the Forever Friends one go. Here is one of my new makes using the Retro Collection. At my last craft fair all my cricket cards were snapped up and this image fit this card perfectly. In my new makes, I seem to be using this set of stamp quiet a lot. I have created 7 cards using this stamp set, some of yet to be posted. I think I need to pick up a different stamp set out of my draw! It is Christmas soon, so maybe I need to focus on that range from Forever Friends.

Born To Shop

Another Born to shop Demo card from last year, as you can see from the volumes of cards that I made I do love this range, it is a shame since the launch of the stamps last year I have not had much chance to  use the range again. Something on my to do list to do. I have combined this stamp with the Piece of Cake papers. Fabulous.

Wild Rose Studio Football Lad Stamp Spotlight

I recently emailed Dulcie all my cards, and she really liked them. For those who do not know, Dulcie Jackson, is the creator of all the Wild Rose Studio designs and responsible for bringing you these gorgeous stamps made from high quality material. That was a big compliment. Fingers crossed, I may get picked to be a Guest Designer for her one day!
.
On the official site for Wild Rose Studio there are an array of project ideas, do not forget to check them out. Although they may use a stamp you do not have, that does not mean you can not use the stamp that you do have. Although I have used the Football lad stamp on this project from their site, any of the cards I have shown or will show - the image can easily be replaced with the rugby lad stamp, the fisher stamp, the beer guy one.
