Hi there, here is Penny Black Monday a day late. Last week I felt unwell, but by the weekend I was a lot better. Than today, it has started all over again.

Today is a quick post as I need to get ready for work and get out of the door. Todays make is a Bookmark Corner. Its a version of Bookmark from the Design Team. I really enjoy making Bookmark Corners.

Hi, and welcome to a late post from me again. I had a lovely Bank Holiday out watching an Asian film with two very very very very HOT super fit guys on a large screen, lovely jubbly. So I have been slightly distracted.

But here is my Penny Black Creation, a Bookmark Corner. I started these Penny Black Mondays, to get more use of my Penny Black stamps, a lot of them have not seen ink and I have so many. 2012 - will be a year where I will not be spending a lot, as I have had to tighten my budget with other expenses, and I already have so much and no room to put in new stuff. So must use up my old stuff especially the papers. Sounds familiar? Then if you have the time, feel free to come and join me. I have made it to Week 7, but I doubt there will be a card from me next week as due to my foot it is making life very difficult. I want my life back and be able to walk on both of my feet without any crutches. Oh well.

I am watching TV and looking forward to tonights X Factor, must remind myself to watch the Xtra Factor because they show real talent on that show too as well as those auditions that make you cringe.

Penny Black Monday Week 5

Today is another day, and I hope all in the UK have had a lovely bank holiday weekend. Tomorrow is back to work for the most of us, not me - I have another day holiday BUT will spend a portion of my time at the hospital tomorrow, and will see what fate brings me.

It took me a while to decide what card I was going to post today here. But in the end I have gone with this bookmark! My favourite new item to make. I will next be trying gift tags, I think. I really need to give crotchet some time to learn and conquer! I have learnt that my sister in laws mother, knows crotchet. Wow! Someone who I can learn from, meanwhile I have some you tube videos to look at and hopefully that will help. I just can not seem to get past the first row.

Me To You Saturdays Week 4

From last weeks card, here is a matching bookmark I made using the same papers and a border punch. These are great I tell you, helps me find a page in my recipe book to a favourite recipe. The odd book I do manage to read, it looks far more nicer than folding a page in... Also, I wish I knew how to make these when I was studying, these sure would have been handy then.

Penny Black Mondays Week 2

I was looking through my posts, and realised I have not written a post for today. How could I miss out on Week 2! That would be silly of me as I do have lots to show you.

     

Today is another (sorry) Bookmark Corner, I have made it to coordinate with the card that I showed a while ago here. Also I bought this paper pack from My Minds eye, my first paper pack from the company and I love it. I have used lots of it, so you may be seeing this on my cards for a while.

Me To You Bookmark Corner

To coordinate with last weeks card, here is a bookmark corner. I have enjoyed making a few of these. I hope you enjoy these too. It is nice to mke something different other than cards. I will always love card making, and still do, but now that I have tried something different I will continue to do so. Its great to learn something new, and have a variety in my shops.

I agree some of the stamp sizes may not be ideal, but they can always be used for different things like here. A Bookmark. Or different layouts which require smaller images. I also am loving the Me to you CD, which has the images in colour and outline, so you can resize to any size you require to colour. I have found when printing from the CD, for my printer I have to leave the images over night for the ink to cure and to stop it from bleeding.

Penny Black Mondays

I am liking the idea of Me to you Saturdays, Forever Friends Sunday, Demo Cards Friday. I thought I would carry on with this theme, and try a Penny Black Monday since i have too many of their products which have not yet even seen ink! Nearly a £1000 worth of products, and have you seen the Christmas catalogue.... Look away, eyes closed. Trying to earn money guys seriously! and save for a house. Please stop bringing out new products. Might try banning myself from something, because i am a craft addict! Please help me.

Thank you for all the Get Well Wishes, and a few times recently when I have been feeling sorry for myself. It has been very much appreciated.

The official Penny Black Blog is so full of inspiration, and you must visit the blogs too. I found the uber talented blog of The Paper Landscaper belonging to Denise. In fact I spent a whole day being inspired and looked at her entire blog and every single post. I stumbled across her fabulous Bookmark Corners, and soon learned how to create them. I have made a few, and I need some more practise. I am sure I will soon get better. Its certainly not easy, and I am struggling to design them too!

I am certainly getting more moneys worth out of my Cuttlebug and Forever Friends Stamps.

Also Anita's Card blanks tie the card and envelopes using a ribbon which I have always saved, and have made use of that ribbon on this card!
