I have used another layout again, that I like and often rotate and flip. I have used this previously on a Forever Friends card and I like the combination so I used it again. These layouts really do come in handy when you lose your mojo to guide you and find that naughty missing mojo.

Forever Friends Sunday

I am certainly doing well, in keeping up this Forever Friend Sunday. I am going to keep trying. I dont know how long though I will manage to keep it up though. But I have all the stamps, papers, CD's and definitely need to use more of it!

This card i made is using a layout and papers I liked a while ago - but I do not know what I think of this card now. This card is missing something to me. Although the card quickly sold out from my box. Maybe I kept it a bit too clean and simple and did not add the glam to it.

Penny Black Demo

Thank you for all the lovely ladies that came to my demonstration, to the regular and the new faces. It was a pleasure to demonstrate and I am pleased that I am able to demonstrate to you all. And that you find inspiration in my work. No one believes me - but i do struggle with crafting at times with coordination and being unable to be inspired! If you came to my demo, I would love for you to leave a comment so I know you have been.

My next demonstration is on the Born to Shop range which the first half of the set was supposed to be released in June and the next lot in July. Now the first set is being released in July, and the second in August. My next demonstration date is 24th July. I really hope the stamp sets come soon, if not it will leave me less time to prepare the demonstration for.

I had a couple of surprise visitors, my two friends from a demonstration I attend. It was a nice surprise to look up and see you! Thank you for coming.

For Lynn, who asked at the demo about my one stop experience I emailed the store, told they would investigate and not had a response. I will not leave it.

I have been very inspired by Kaths blog and her lovely Penny Black creations. She is one talented crafter. I adapted a layout she used for these cards.

This card, i showed you a sneak peak however it was made to order. And I really should have shown you the whole card. However, I did something similar for my demonstration cards so I did not want to show you all in advance. The background paper was my own, using a fineliner end of the brushmarker and a ruler. It was simple and easy. The same can be done with watercolour pencils, pro markers and you can do it horizontal only as I have done with my Creative Expression Cards. Here i did squares. You can also do the lines diagonally.

Hawthorn and Bramble

As soon as I saw Erica's range of Hawthorn and Bramble in the shops, i knew I had to buy it all. I usually only restrict myself to the stamp and paper. However this time, I went for the decoupage pack as well, this is so adorable. I love it. It was popular at the demo and popular in the shops. I hope you like this card.

I watercoloured the pink gingham paper with brown waterbrush markers. To coordinate with the rest of the card. Here again you will see the return of my favourite stripey patterned paper.

I have made this card for a friend at work who wanted this for her Aunty. She loved it, and so did her mum who also then ordered a Cruise Watercolour painting off me. I was so chuffed. I love friends like this who support what you do. I always appreciate it. This picture was taken at home, as i left the lettering at home and an embossing leaf punch at work. I added the th to the 60 at work, and pink leaves around the flowers to accent it.

Hi there, thank you so much for all your lovely kind messages, I truly appreciate it. I was really touched by the kindness of other crafters out there and your concern. I am feeling slightly better, but I have to keep going if I am going to be ready for the demo. So at the moment, I am a bit high on painkillers and wrapped up warm, so if you see a looney in town wrapped up in layers thats me!!   I keep saying I wont leave things til the last minute, last i checked i had three weeks before this demo. Where did all the time go? Therefore I have started making cards for the June's Penny Black demonstration now. Also, I need to get some commissioned cards done as well. I appreciate it, So i got more money to spend on the new stuff.

Just saw docrafts leaflet for the next items, I really like the Born to Shop range that they are releasing! Although I dont want to....  But i will defnitely buy that.

Happy Sunday also means that tomorrow is Monday and that means back to work. But tomorrow I have a holiday! yay! I hope you didnt forget to set your clocks forward an hour today!

I had a proper go on my wii fit console and games last night, and looked at the clock it was nearly midnight. I didnt realise that i had spent 4 hours on it! Think of the cards i could have made in that time, lol!

Here is another card I made for my demonstration, to show that quick cards do not need to be coloured in. The paper is from Some Bunny Loves You Stamp Set, but i have coloured the yellow and white areas with orange brushmarker to suit the colour theme.

Sparkles Christmas Challenge

This week the challenge at Sparkles Christmas Card Challenge Blog was to create a Christmas Card that uses something that represents your favourite part of the holiday. This card has a background of snow flakes - i love snow although we dont often see that at Christmas here in the UK. However I also like getting dressed up and going to family, or having family over. I am also entering this into Creative Cottage Challenge which is to use sparkle - i have used glitter on her santa hat and the snowflakes

Using waterbrush markers I have stamped the mini flower in Clare's Stamp set all over the blue paper.

For this card, I have used one of the previous sketch challenges which i loved instantly. I hope to enter more of these challenges to create lots of Christmas cards ready for the time of the year.

I am entering this card into Stampin For The Weekend Challenge and A Spoon Full Of Sugar and Our Creative Corner and Lexis Creations which is to create an Easter Card.  This is also being entered into The Secret Crafters Challenge and All Sorts Challenge which is to create a Spring Card, bunnies and Easter fits into a Spring theme. I am also entering this into the Creative Card Crew challenge which is going dotty.

Colouring In Tutorial 1: Watercolour Pencils

On my blog from now on Saturday is Daisy and Dandelion and All Their Friends day! There have been changes at the Daisy and Dandelion Blog, every month there is a theme and every month we will have a tutorial. This month is my turn for a tutorial on colouring in the Daisy and Dandelion images. I put this suggestion forward as it is not the first time I have heard people struggle to colour in these images or they are not happy with their end result. Therefore they are not inspired with the range.

This first tutorial I am going to use the following Papermania watercolour Pencils, however you can use your equivalent to these:

From this pack I have used the following pencil colours, Pink, Cream, Light Brown, Dark Brown, Black and Grey (In the picture below the cream pencil appears to be yellow, but it is not - in the above picture it is the cream pencil next to the brown and grey on the far right)

First of all I stamped my image using Black Archival Jet Blank Ink Pad onto good quality cardstock. I then coloured in the image with the cream pencil, and two pink circles for his cheeks. Please do not apply water yet.

I then coloured over the cream with the grey pencil as below.

Then i coloured the image in with the waterbrush, this combined the two shades and created the base of the image. Then using the black pencil, i shaded around the image lightly and then in the around the edges for his stomach. I then applied water with the brush, I then coloured this in with the waterbrush.

I then applied the two shades of brown, one all over, and the darker shade for the shadow areas. I then applied water using the principle outside in. I worked with the waterbrush from the dark colour to the light colour, to ensure that the shading remained as it is.

I then finished off the colouring with with the egg and the grass. I used a very dark green pencil and applied this lightly. The egg shade was achieved by combining an orange and gold watercolour pencil and the bow in yellow. Here is the finished image: 

                                           

I hope this makes sense! It takes longer to explain but it literally takes 2 minutes to do. For the other weeks in March, I will show you some quick Basic to Intermediate colouring techniques, using two shades, promarkers and waterbrush markers.

Using the above coloured image, this was matted onto brown card stock and put to one side.

The image I have chosen is from the gorgeous Daisy and Dandelion Some Bunny Loves You Stamp Set picture below:

I stamped the little daffodil over the bottom half of the card, i coloured this in with yellow and orange docrafts waterbrush markers. Cut a strip of 2cm brown card and placed over the centre of the card. I then, added gingham yellow ribbon from the Papermania Capsule Collection. I then added another strip of brown card. The coloured image was placed in the centre with 3d foam pads. A bow added from the Papermania Capsule collection and a mini button on top of the bow. I then added a Happy Easter Sentiment in the inside of the card to finish it off.

This card has been very inspired by a talented crafter 'A load of old pickle'
