Another Cute Companions Demonstration Card

I had a lovely weekend at my brother and sister in laws, we met up at our uncles house and stayed up until very late. Have not got hardly anything done today, think with the lack of sleep I think I am coming down with something. Which makes me panic more, as with relatives over I am getting very little time to prepare for my demo. Let alone trying stamping with bleach.

I have also did not make it the demonstration, which I am disappointed about. Due to lack of sleep, it would not have been a good decision to have done the extra travelling. Therefore I now wish I had gone on Saturday and not Sunday. Never mind.

Meanwhile I thought I would show you a demonstration card from my Cute Companions Demonstration.

I finally got a response from docrafts today, saying that they have been unindated with emails and therefore have been slow in replying. They said themselves that is not an excuse, and apologise for the lack of reply. I have raised further questions about future renewals.

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, we have family visiting and I have not had time to post on here or catch up on your blogs. Will get that done on Sunday.

Clare Curd is demonstrating this weekend at Glitterpot. I will be near the area, and hope to pop in on Sunday! I really hope she is demoing on both days. Looking forward to some inspiration from her.

Meanwhile I thought I would post a card I have made for the Cute Companion Demonstration. I hope you like. I used the little stamp to make my own background. And used x cut mini flower head punch behind the oval, to create a different shape. I then used white gel pen to accent the flowers. This was popular at the demonstration.

My New Car

I eventually got back into Creativity Club, but no apology or reply to any emails which i find VERY rude. So i have sent another email.

Preparing for the demo is going well, I can only hope people like the cards on the day and the demo is a success.

I recently purchased a new car, a Ford Zetec Focus. I enjoy riding it and it has so many features.

Hawthorn and Bramble

As soon as I saw Erica's range of Hawthorn and Bramble in the shops, i knew I had to buy it all. I usually only restrict myself to the stamp and paper. However this time, I went for the decoupage pack as well, this is so adorable. I love it. It was popular at the demo and popular in the shops. I hope you like this card.

I watercoloured the pink gingham paper with brown waterbrush markers. To coordinate with the rest of the card. Here again you will see the return of my favourite stripey patterned paper.

Where as all this time gone? Just realised how long I have left to prepare for this Penny Black Demo, i really hope this demo is a hit.

What do you all think of the new site? I am so frustrated - everytime you want to turn a page in the gallery or if you click on a project to view it, it takes forever to change a page. It is super slow. Everything else seems brilliant, it is just the speed of it.

I joined the Creativity Club, and accepted the terms and conditions. I am a paying member - However today it has kicked me out and is treating me like I am NOT a member!!!!!!!!!!!! So annoying. I have emailed and sent messages, I am waiting to hear a reply, but probably will not hear anything until later.

Meanwhile I thought I would show a watercolour of a cruise ship I did for a friend, whose Aunty is going on a Cruise Ship for her 60th Birthday.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

I have seen recently something going around the blogs called 'What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday'.  Today I thought I would join in the fun. Creative Expressions Card

Hi there, today I thought I would show you a card that I made on the Creative Expressions Demonstrations Day. Here I have used the Funky Vintage paper from Dovecrafts with the Jungle Friend Stamp Set. I have added doodling around the paper edges.  The sentiment is from Clare Curd's Signature Range. I threaded the button and tied a bow for a different finish.

This weekend I am at my cousins wedding, and this is the card I made. I adapted the hat for a turban. I really hope she likes the card. I have decorated the card inside and out, the back and the envelope as you can see from the pictures below.

I am looking for paper pads by Basic Grey and everywhere I look is out of stock. I would like to purchase the Basic Grey Green at heart, kioshi, and Limeade paper, sugar rush, ambrosia. Do anyone know where I can find it from?

Say No To Word Verfication

I am putting a button in the side bar and making a plea to all my fellow bloggers. I have seen this on many blogs and I agree, please please please switch off word verification. By all means keep the moderation on, so you can approve the comments before they come live.

I know google recommends this to be on, however in all the time I have blogged I have not had any spam comments and as you approve them before they go live, you can delete them if you do get any. I love looking at all your blogs and to leave feedback, however when you visit many blogs word verification takes time. Then you get it wrong, and it takes time for it to go through.

I am now putting this in my side bar, please switch of word verification.

Birthday Card

I have made this card for a friend at work who wanted this for her Aunty. She loved it, and so did her mum who also then ordered a Cruise Watercolour painting off me. I was so chuffed. I love friends like this who support what you do. I always appreciate it. This picture was taken at home, as i left the lettering at home and an embossing leaf punch at work. I added the th to the 60 at work, and pink leaves around the flowers to accent it.

Last Creative Expressions Demo Card

I must say I do have fun at these demonstrations. I would like to say thank you to all the people who come and watch and listen to me talk for 3 hours. You are all so kind, and I enjoy sitting and chatting with you all.

For those who queried at my demonstration that it was a bit difficult to find the samples from Creative Expressions, as I have not uploaded them all in one go. At the end of the post, you should see some labels, Creative Expressions (CE). Click on that, and that will display all the cards that I have posted so far with this range. This will include the Christmas ones I did for the shop.

I have enjoyed this bank holiday, dont know about you. However tomorrow is back to work. Boohoo... Oh well, despite the rain I have enjoyed the time off, I have no real holiday this year apart from the manic month of October in which I get married to my love. 

This card is the last Demo card, I prepared in advance of the Creative Expressions Animal Safari and Jungle Friend demonstration.  This is creating my own background, and using scraps of Christmas paper. Other cards that I will now show are the ones that I made on the day.

P.S For a very nice person at demonstration, I think her name is Lynn, who asked which Green Ink Pad I used. I can not find the link on docrafts, but Papermania sell these mini pigment ink pads in pack of three, you most likely be able to find it in at the Range. I think I paid £1.99 for each set of 3. If not, Kims Craft have ordered stuff in for me from docrafts, ask them if they can find out any further information for you.

Demonstration

The demonstration went well, I heard that they had really good sales to which I am really pleased for. However those who came to the demonstration already had the Play Days or Dressing Up Stamp Set. So some of those were sold, however I hope the shop sells them out.

I arived and they gave me Chloe - a new stamp set from Jayne Nesterenko to play with. Its a good job I got there early! Got one card done for the shop, however as I was not prepared for this. I had no card blanks, no ribbon or gems to finish of the card. They did say that they were going to finish it of for me. I was told afterwards that a lot of people said that they enjoyed the demonstration, however with the lovely weather, it was quiet after 12.

I also showed some Penny Black sample cards and the stamp sets that I will demonstrate.  They sold some of those too.

I have been booked for more demonstrations, however will announce those once I know what I will demonstrate.  Kims Craft is opening a new shop in Wigston, and I have been invited there for demonstrations. So I am pleased for this too. More demonstrations means more crafting money to spend!

I am not at my pc today, so I am unable to post a card, however will post some over the next few days.

I now need to prepare for my Penny Black demonstration, will gather the pictures of the stamp sets that I will demonstrate and post them here. Penny Black has such a gorgeous range of popular stamps of such cute gorgeous characters. I hope it all goes well. I am going to demonstrate stamping with bleach and the effects you can get.

Cute Companion 1st Card

This is my first card that I made for the Cute Companion Demonstration, I hope it all goes well. This post is scheduled to go live at 12 noon. Whilst I am typing this post 7am, the sun is out, the birds are singing and I am all packed up. I hope i have not forgotten anything. I hope to get their and get a decent car space. I hope the weather stays as it is and people will hopefully turn up to my demonstration.

When I first was given this Cute Companion stamp sets and was asked if I would demonstrate this card there was silence. Then... more silence.... Eventually Emma from the shop said, what do you think? With a fake smile, I said they are cute. I was asked to pick a set, which i said they are all cute, i like characters from both, you pick. Kim then said you can have both to play with. However I left the shop, thinking oh my.... what have I got myself into.... I have never been a fan of this range, it is not my style of card making. And I was in complete utter shock.. not sure if I could demonstrate them or not. My mum, said why did you not say no? Good question, I dont think that is in my system. I did not want to let the shop down.

However, NOW, that I have played with them I do adore them, and will probably buy more items from this range. I have had fun playing with them and making cards. My rocker blockers and stick n spray which were gathering dust have had a good play. Jayne Nesterenko has released more cute characters from this range, which will look forward to purchasing in the future.

This card is very inspired by the very talented, and owner of her own craft shop, Lyndsey Marie, she has an amazing blog.  She works regularly for various other craft magazines. This was my very first card as I have said, and at the start I was struggling. So i hope Lyndsey you do no mind, my good friend, by copying the style of your demonstration card.
