Charity Fundraising Event

I am still experiencing problems with blogger and commenting. And I can not even sign out now - so my advise don't log on from a public computer.

I just wanted to come by and drop a quick note, that I was going to hold a fundraising stall on 28th May, however due to my mother I was unable to attend. However, whenever my next stall will be I will donate funds from that event to this worthwhile cause. Please accept my apologies.

Forever Friends Week 10

I could not forget about my Forever Friend Sunday commitment. Just come back from the hospital. So this post is a lot later than planned.

Today, as I did not have time to design a card, i used a gorgeous project out of the recent magazine. I do not have the ship embossing folder, but i used this dots one and I think it works well. I hope you like it.

I am on the Penny Black Official Blog

Thank you for all the kind wishes. My mother has been admitted into hospital, and i guess she is on the road to recovery.

I was flipping around the blogs last night, catching up and my eyes feeling like a bricks. The first place I went over to was the Penny Black Official blog, and saw that todays Inspired by card from the talented Jill Foster was by me!!!! WOW! I could not believe my eyes! Me.... Thank you so much, I am totally chuffed to bits, and such a huge compliment. She was inspired by one of my Penny Black cards, this one below. And people were leaving gorgeous compliments about the card, i was jumping for joy.

Thank you for all the Get Well Wishes, and a few times recently when I have been feeling sorry for myself. It has been very much appreciated.

The official Penny Black Blog is so full of inspiration, and you must visit the blogs too. I found the uber talented blog of The Paper Landscaper belonging to Denise. In fact I spent a whole day being inspired and looked at her entire blog and every single post. I stumbled across her fabulous Bookmark Corners, and soon learned how to create them. I have made a few, and I need some more practise. I am sure I will soon get better. Its certainly not easy, and I am struggling to design them too!

I am certainly getting more moneys worth out of my Cuttlebug and Forever Friends Stamps.

Also Anita's Card blanks tie the card and envelopes using a ribbon which I have always saved, and have made use of that ribbon on this card!

Saving Daisy

This dogs name is called Daisy, who unfortunately had an accident. This dog needed an operation at a cost of £1600. The dog belongs to Tom who has Aspergers and could not possibly live without this dog. Unfortunately Toms family are faced with this huge vet bill as they have no pet insurance. They have been told that if they do not pay the bill their dog will be put to sleep.

Kirsty Wiseman has organised a massive craft raffle, such as cricut and the prices get bigger and are being added constantly. Tickets are £2 each. All i urge you to do is take the 2nd option for payment, slightly longer but it means more money reaches this family who can pay the vet bill. If they raise more than £1600 the rest of the money will be donated to charity. For more information how to participate - click here

Sorry No WOYWW This week...

I would have usually made it out of bed over 2 and half hours ago, took some pictures and made the WOYWW post. Then waited until 6am for the WOYWW post from Julia and added my link, and had a good nosy and read of other peoples posts who were crazy enough like me to get up early. Today I did not have the energy to get up or do this, or the energy last night to schedule a post. Why? All will be revealed soon. I have been making and experimenting making something new, and have enjoyed the process. Will post some pictures of this soon.

However I have been continuing to make it to everyones desk and leave some comments. Hope to inspire somebody.

I have added a poll to my facebook page, please click on the link on the right hand panel and let me have your say. I am totally confused. Those who I have spoke to say that Crafty Corner is best and Handmade by is not so interesting or inviting. However my fellow facebookers have said that they like Handmade by the best.

This is what I would like to be doing, and not at work in my office job and dreaming if I will be able to craft full time and make a decent living!

Over at Edna's lovely blog, Another Day Another Card I won some small blog candy! I was really chuffed as it was a stamp set from Creative Expressions - which i love and became hooked when I started to demonstrate them. However recently I have been closing my eyes at their new released to stop me spending more money!!!!!!! It's worked so far....

Today is not going to be a normal post, such as an update from tesco's or a new card or what is going on. I am really feeling under the weather :(  and feeling sorry for myself.

Maybe I could do with one of these to cheer me up.

Forever Friend Sunday - Week 8

I am sorry if you are not a fan, but are these Forever Friend images the cutest and sweetest. Here is another card I made with faux stitching. And guess what - no stamped image, everything is from a Paper Pack. Also I managed to use my scraps - BONUS!

In attempt to use up my stash, I have finished one pack of Adhesive Gems! Yay! So what I have done is bought out another packet and instead of putting it away. I am leaving it on my desk so i use that one up as well and so forth. However only another 50 packets to go through!!!!!!!!!!! Is it me or does this sound familiar for anyone else? Buy it when on offer... even if you have it. Oh well.

There is also a mountain of cardstock to get through.... Small steps.

Here is another demonstration card I made last year. This was the first time i used stamps from the cute companion range. These cute animals never appealed to me, however since using them to make the demo cards I have been tempted to buy more of their range. Although never bought these animal stamps again. I did buy the S.W.A.L.K range! (More stamps that have not yet seen ink, ssshhh! don't tell hubby!)

I do look at these cards and smile at my early attempts of combing papers with colours. And can see how I have developed further with my craft.

What I wanted to show my cards, if you are not good at combing papers - don't! Stick to one and use a layout like this. With the first card i used the left overs from the punches, with the second card i used the same layout different papers, to create a masculine card.
