Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge, this challenge is the turn of the recipe challenge which is:

3 Papers, 1 Ribbon, 1 Charm.

After seeing the challenge, immediately I made the card, minus with the charm. The three papers are the background dark pink paper, the paper across the middle in the background with the ribbon. The third paper is the paper piercing used for her dress.

With the snow being so horrible and only bound to getting everywhere by foot, i could not make it to the Hinckley Craft shop Kims Craft to see I can get a charm. If you are a regular viewer of my work, I am not a charm user.  So I was disappointed, that I did not have the charm or shrink plastic to make my own. Whilst sulking, I emailed Kath - who came back with such a sweet reply and suggestions to make your own charm such as a snowflake. However, the card I had in mind was a birthday card. So i have stamped a handbag and added 3d glossy accents to make my charm. I hope that is acceptable girls.

I am really pleased with the look of the card. Let's see if I can say the same in 6 months. I spent an hour last night, looking at cards i have a long time ago and even those I have made recently in the last few months and the cards i liked then, I currently have changed my opinion on. Hey ho - we are our own worst critics.

Stranded Passengers

All these passengers who have been stranded here going abroad and for those who have been stuck abroad. I am pleased that a lot of flights are now resuming full / normal service. And that they can get to their destinations.

I hope that the ordeal will be over for all these passengers soon. And they can finally get home. However, I do feel for them as some will still miss Christmas with their loved ones.

Strictly Come Dancing 2010 Final

It has come the time for the Final of Strictly Come Dancing 2010 and then the dreaded weekend after - when there is no good tv to watch! lol.

It has been a brilliant line up - those who I thought would do well from the preview show did not do so well and others have triumped. This year is an open show, and I really have no favourites. I will base my decision on the performances of the night and not any favourites.

I also look forward to seeing all the contestants good and bad returning for a quick dance. Ann Widdecombe - i hope she does the titanic number. However it is usually the dance that they exited on. I was disappointed with Michelle Williams - being from Destiny's Child and doing so much dancing on stage - i thought she would have been amazing. However, it shows that even if you are from a pop group you are not automatically talented and able to do these dances. Maybe she was not given the right partner - who knows, she did well with Ian Waite the week Brendon was off.

Who do you think will win? Matt? Kara? Pamela?

So the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2010 is....

Penny Black Autohog

Hello everyone. For a long time, on my blog you have seen a lot of Christmas cards and the genuine feeling I am getting from a lot of people they are getting pretty tired of the view. So i thought I would show a card I made recently using this new Penny Black stamp I purchased from The Glitterpot, called Autohog. It is a fab gorgeous stamp to make some mens card.

I have to confess, this card was sort of a happy accident. I was attempting to make a male contemporary Christmas card, however the image I had in mind did not look right so I swapped it to this Penny Black image. I hope you like.

Milton with Stocking

I have uploaded a new blogging background from Elegant Custom Blogs. I found it by googling blogging backgrounds, and viewing the larger images.

Rebecca lost :( but is still a winner in my eyes. Often or not, runner ups have a better career and I am sure she will do well out of the show. Congratulations Matt on winning.

Scott and Gavin left the show. I was expecting Gavin to go, but Scott was a potential winner. I am really looking forward to the final next week.

I have made so many christmas cards, and I do not have enough days to post them all before the 25th December, so you will find me still posting these new cards in January!

Whilst having today off from work, I am going to take this chance to update my blog, schedule some posts and catch up on everything

Still focusing on this stamp Milton With stocking from Wild Rose Studio. GORGEOUS and so cute. Here is another card I made with this stamp. If you live near Hinckly or Wigston, you can get your stamp from Kims Craft or you can buy yours from the Glitterpot online. The best online shop I think with the best variety of crafting goods and always stocking new lines.

I feel this card is missing something - gems, ribbon. I do not know, but maybe because I use a lot of them on my card it feels like it is missing something.

X Factor Final Tonight: Who is your favourite?

We have certainly had a talented bunch of hopefuls this year on X Factor. Because I missed the first few weeks of the show from picking the final contestants to go on the show and the first shows, I did not have a favourite. I usually connect to someone from when they pick the final contestants. I did have it on record, however my box auto deleted the earlier shows to make room for the other shows.

From the auditions I did love Cher Lloyd, but in the recent couple of weeks I was no longer a fan. However, I still think she will have a music career just look at Diana Vickers, left really early in the show and still had a number one record.

However after watching last nights show, and Christina Aguileras double chin, lol. I have become a huge fan of Rebecca Ferguson. A misfit, always looking on the floor, never felt she was good enough. All of these things I can relate to. And I got a little emotional. She has an amazing unique recognisable voice. She is very inspiring. For me Rebecca Ferguson to win, she has my vote.
So leave me a message, if you a fan of the show or not and who is your favourite, if you have any.

And yes Strictly Come Dancing - which two will leave the show. I feel this maybe a shocker. But from the leader board - it looks like Matt & Alona and Gavin & partner.

I respect the show is totally in the hand of the viewers - however I have missed the dance off. I think that gave some celeb dancers a chance to show it off, and a kick in the backside to improve, which was sometimes needed. Whereas, X Factor who did have the sing off - however kept in a singer, who went in the bottom two on numerous occasions. So I have not decided which one way is best.

Thank you Gill

After stating the other day, how I would love more nestabilities but simply can not afford any. I received a very generous message from gill, to say that she would send me some shapes in the post. It was very generous. So when she asked me what card I wanted, I did not want to be greedy and say all the colours of the moon and everything. So i said I would like it white plain card. I was expecting 10 maybe. Then I received this in the post! In glitter card as well! Wow! so many and impossible to photograph them all! Very generous. We live in a world of crafting folk who are so kind and generous.

Thank you Gill, and do not forget to visit her lovely blog by clicking here.

Please email me your address Gill, so I can replace your stock especially your Glitter card!
Now off to craft with these...

Wild Rose Studio - Milton With Stocking

Life has taken a turn on me. I feel like recently I am being punished for whatever wrong I may have done! It has constantly been a downward spiral. With so many problems. I want to be a good blogger, and I do not want to be one of those blogs where people always look for updates, but they are far few in between. I apologise. I hope to keep this up to date as much as possible, and get back to posting regularly. Just recently so much of my time has been taken up looking after my mother.

This time, I am spotlighting another gorgeous stamp from Wild Rose Studio. It is the turn of Milton with stocking stamp. It is gorgeous and so adorable.

Quick update

At home, life has become a bit manic this week and I have been a bad blogger this week as a result. So I have not been able to blog or get around to commenting this week. I will hopefully catch up today or tomorrow. I have some cards to finish up for challenges and hopefully will have these posted.
