Wagner has left and Katie Wassail...

I am happy that Wagner has left the show, and that the facebook campaign to make him a winner has fallen down. Louis was probably allowed to bring Wagner to the show to give the show ratings.

Yes Katie was talented, but I found Simon Cowells remarks contradictory last night. Its good that the show is back with the talent and in the hands of the viewers. Well if he respected the viewers, why did they keep saving Katie - others in the show that went in the bottom two deserved a second chance. Clearly the public did not want Katie and I am happy that she has gone. The judges showed no respect to the viewers with Katie.

That is my moan of the day...

Creative Expression Demonstration Card

Here is one of my cards I made on the day of the demonstration at Kims Craft. I used here the Christmas Sleigh Ride Stamp set, the swirl stamp and the sentiment. Oh yes, and the cuttlebug has made a reappearance with the use of those nestabilities. I manually cut out the aperture because I do not currently have a rectangle nestability. Next on the list of things to purchase and hide, and pretend they have always been there!
Products used:
Creative Expressions Christmas Sleigh Ride Stamp
Papermania Organza Christmas Ribbon
Adhesive Gems
Versamark Ink Pad
Holographic Embossing Powder
Cuttlebug

How much would you charge for?

I need your help and kind advise, please.

I have recently made a few candles to sell at a craft fayre and try them out in my area. I have took this picture from a friends site. I was wondering how much would you charge for a large candle and a small candle. A candle packaged up and decorated all the way around?

And in particular if you do sell them, how much do you charge and how much have you seen others charge for it?

I was thinking of £4 for the large one and £2 for the small one. My smaller candle is slightly smaller and slightly fatter than the one shown? Its also includes these style and stamped images on both sides.

I would be very interested in hearing your views.

I will delete this post by Monday / Tuesday of next week.

Bow Making

Once upon a time, a long long long while ago, someone very generously shared this over at the docrafts forum. I am really sorry, as I can not remember who it was. If it was you, please leave me a message, I will credit you accordingly and link to your blog.

Just been to a demonstration, and one of the topics was bow making. I referred the ladies to my blog, and told them it has been a while since I have posted it (July in fact). So for the ladies from my demonstration, I have reposted how to make this bow using the fork. It has been photographed step by step. Hope it helps.

I will post the card I made using this bow tutorial later this week.

Creative Expression Demonstrations

The two last weekends, I have had fun demonstrating the Creative Expression stamps and making my samples. For details of the stamps, click here.

Thank you for everyone who did turn up to both the demonstrations, I had fun and do not be afraid to ask questions. I do not mind answering them at all. My pink Cuttlebug had its first travel, because of the second shop you never know which shop has the Cuttlebug in.

If you do want any of the limited edition Cuttlebug, Kims Craft only stock the green ones. Do ask, and they can order one in for you. I did, thats how I met the pink cuttlebug I just love. And I demonstrating a bit of my new toy. A great toy

Remembrance Sunday

I have seen this post on Kaths blogs, and definitely would like to support this. So spread it around.

Remembrance Sunday....a time when folks all over the world come together to remember the ultimate sacrifice made by brave men and women in wars past and present....
In our local town, we always have the March and a poppy fly over with weather permitting on the actual day of 11th November. It annoys me for those who can not observe the 2 minute silence. You have the freedom because people lost their lives. Respect...

Would you like to win all of the Promarkers?

This is the time I normally tease you with sneak peaks before my forthcoming demonstration. However I do not have many samples, but lots of cards prepared to be made up on the day for the demonstration. Once they are done, I will start posting them for the Creative Expressions demo. During my last visit to Kims Craft in Hinckley, I noticed that they are now stocking Wild Rose Studio stamps. So I will add that to the demonstration.

However, I wanted to come online to tell you about some amazing candy.

Going Buggy is offering a chance to win all 148 of the promarker collection, 148! I did not even know that there were that many promarkers, the stand at my local shop does not look like it holds 148 different promarkers! wow!

To win this amazing candy, click here to be taken to the site.

Glitterpot Demonstration Weekend Spectacular

I went to the Glitterpot this Sunday gone for their demonstration spectacular and finally met Clare Curd! I really enjoyed her demonstration and her card samples were stunning as always. She is a really nice friendly person and I enjoyed talking to her about my wedding and card making. Thank you for your advise, I will certainly take it on and will let you know how I get on.

She made some really stunning cards, however I wish docrafts would publish more of her stunning cards in project of the weeks or in Creativity section of the site. Instead of taking them and not doing as much.

I really enjoyed the demonstration and had fun. Yes I did buy some new goodies but as Clare said I was reserved with my purchases from my normal buying self.  Which was true, but now I have to becareful of my pennies! I bought some individual copic markers to try out a technique will let you know if this works.

I have been busy making cards but as they are all for the demonstration this weekend and next, I have nothing new to show you at present. I will however post some sneak peaks later in the week once I have had a chance to take some pictures of the card samples.  I will post details of the demonstration and pictures of the stamps that I will be using.

I am itching to craft with the new oriental range from Papermania, it looks fab and I like oriental cards. It is something different.

I still have not managed to get around to many blogs, but with some free time today I should be able today.

After the last post things have been a bit hectic around here. The wedding prepartions, the wedding, all the things that needed to be done after the wedding. However I am now back in blogland. I should be able to catch up on all your lovely blogs by this weekend and oh yes I have been crafting lots whenever I can!

Today is a bit of a short post, but I hope to provide you more of a update about my wedding. A lot of people have asked for pictures, but it took me a long while to post pictures of myself here...

Business will resume shortly with cards I have been making since I have been back.
