Tesco Update

It is not just the Tesco in Bedworth that Tesco have knocked down. Tesco have tried to buy the surrounding land and business. Some have sold out and some have stayed. So around the corner from tesco a pub was there. This is the remains which have now been left and they have dug up a hole as well. Went around the corner the other day and it was still the same since this pictures was taken on 11th March.

Tesco Update

EDIT: Is anyone else having troubles with their blogging background. I keep getting white backgrounds after a new post. And it takes a while for the background to appear

All of the front of the building has gone now. Just the digging left to do and getting rid of the rubble. This is from my latest set of pictures from this Friday.

This is a picture of the back of the building where the car park entrance was. They have taken a lot of the slabs down and now are taking the middle section of it down.

This Thursday gone, there was this little section on the front left.
With the Salvation Army building next door, they had to be very careful with the section and not to cause any damage. So up went those boards on the left. And on Friday this section was virtually all gone.
Thats all for now...

She recently re done the blog for her shop and I discovered that the shop was not that far at all. So off i set to make a date

A while ago, I had the hance to visit Lora Crafts at Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. so I did.

Thank you Lyndsey for putting up with me for over an hour. It was great to have a chat with you, I really enjoyed it. Do have a pop around whenever you have a chance.

Tesco Update

Here is my next instalment on the update of tesco. The slabs on the edge of the building for the car parks have now all gone. And the middle of the building has gone. Both ends are still in one piece.

On the left hand side of the picture you can see the front part of the building and on the far side, the remaining part of the building. Then on the left, you can see the back end of the building. The whole chunk in the middle has gone!

The rubble in the middle - is all wirey / stringy.

A closer up shot of the remaining bulidng on the far right hand side.

A picture of part of the car park I can only assume. The glass has been broken on one of the windows.

Here is a picture of the outdoor car park - still pretty much standing not much work done there. But at night when all the workmen have gone all their diggers sit in this area.
If you are walking past the building this morning, or driving. Becareful you and you car will get sprayed on and get dirty. They are wetting the concrete down and blowing, to stop the dust on the side buildings / houses / cars getting dirty. Well Tesco are doing their best - but I am afraid there is dirt everywhere! And not a lot of people happy. Even our building has suffered from cracks from all the thudding and falling of the bricks and building.

A picture of the front of the building:

Later on in the day when I do drive past at night, I expect the majority of the front to be gone. I hope to get some action shots. With it all happening. I am very excited. I was getting some funny looks from people as I was taking pictures. And? I want to keep memories. Because when my children are born, they will have never seen this.

Wild Rose Studio - Cappucino Girl

Just in time for a quick post, to show another card on my spotlight on Wild Rose Studio - Cappucino Girl stamp. I love this stamp. When this post goes live I will be up the M6 getting to our head office for a meeting. I am nervous, but I am sure I will be fine.

Some more of my hand stitching on the cards. Well I should confess, the hand stitching is from my mum, gives her something to do whilst she is sitting down and stops her from going into the kitchen

Demolition

Today I thought I would share with you what is happening in my local area. We have a Tesco store, quiet a big store that has been there for years and has taken a bit of a beating. The car park is very old and parts not so modern, and safe looking.

About a further 10 minute drive there is a huge tesco. The plan was when this big tesco at the Ricoh Arena opened, our local tesco was going to close. However despite the huge tesco, this Tesco store was too profitable to let go. So Tesco's have invested in demolishing the store, buying the surrounding store and building a bigger tesco here in our old little town.

That was all exciting, apart from the fact I work over the road. And when they started knocking the slabs down, the huge thuds it was making was shaking our building. It was not easy sitting there and quiet disturbing. So disturbing I had to go and take pictures.

BEFORE

This is the point where we here these huge slabs falling. The first unexpected one was very disturbing, as you did not know what it was.

Will show you more up to date pictures soon as it is demolished in stages. Its difficult to get pictures of the other side of the building as it is a road with no where to park.

Wild Rose Studio Cappucino Girl

Before my month as CES guest Designer, which I loved and it was a shame it came to an end! Sulking away...

Where was I? Oh yes, before my month as CES Guest Designer I started spotlighting Wild Rose Studio stamps. Last week, you saw a few spotlights on various stamps which I will pick up on again at a later date. My latest spotlight was on the Cappucino Girl stamp. My next card uses papers from the Spring CD collection combined with some card stock and organza ribbon for a classy look. I hope you like.I have used real hand stitching on this card. Something that I am loving on my recent cards. (just not the time it takes!)
